At the site of disturbance, sudden encounter, transgression, wound, there is potential, potency and possibility as well as a rush to heal, hold, control, counteract. Broken ground is accessible to new roots, the seed turned over and exposed, the porosity, the break, the burn, encouraging new growth. Broken ground is also vulnerable to invasive species and erosion. Does trauma make us weaker or stronger? Is the danger worth it? Non-rhetorical courage to face the unknown and to keep reaching out, to keep making contact, drives performancy...

One One One is produced by Cie Ioannis Mandafounis, created by Ioannis Mandafounis, and it will be choreographed in real-time by Tilman O Donnell and Émilia Giudicelli.

Daniella LaGaccia is a Brooklyn-based journalist and artist who has contributed to Interview, Art in America, artnet News, and more. She is also the editor of the performance magazine, INCIDENT Magazine. This performance called Affirmed will look at how a transgender woman’s body fits within the context of female identity.

Jaguar Mary is a performance artist, glossolalia vocalist, filmmaker and hoop dancer. Her specific concerns, and the directives that have driven her art practice, engage black feminist discourse, questions of history, and now, ritual performance and practice in art as tools to help us out of our world crisis. Jaguar Mary aka Jocelyn Taylor has shown internationally, at the Johannesburg and Havana Biennials, and in galleries in Venezuela, Canada, France, the Netherlands and Dietch Projects in New York. She’s also collaborated with feminist artists Annie Sprinkle, Yvonne Rainer

Máiréad Delaney is an Irish-American artist working transatlantically in performance and installation. She explores how gendered bodies respond to the unleashing of systemic violence. Delaney studied at the postgraduate level in Ireland, working with the Irish women’s collective Survivors of Symphysiotomy. Delaney has exhibited internationally, in New York, Ireland and the UK, and Ethiopia. She has presented work in the 2015 Dublin Live Art Festival and BIPAF, at the Queen’s Museum, Grace Exhibition Space, Panoply Performance Laboratory, Defibrillator Performance Art Gallery in Chicago, for Dublin’s Livestock and with Dublin-based collective Pre-form and Bbeyond at the Ulster Museum in Belfast. She has also made a series of public performances entitled ‘Hold Harmless,’ outside the National Maternity Hospital and the Four Courts in Dublin.
